Commercial and Residential Real Estate Paralegal

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial and Residential Real Estate Paralegal to manage and support a high volume of residential closings from contract, due diligence to closing and on the commercial end, support representation of commercial tenants, developers and borrowers on commercial offering plan filings and financing transactions.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, articulate and able to work independently while maintaining excellent communication with attorneys and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and manage residential contracts of sale, riders, and closing documents.
- Coordinate and analyze due diligence, including title clearance, lien clearance, and coop/condo document review.
- Liaise with clients, brokers, lenders, and title companies throughout the transaction.
- Prepare closing statements, conduct closings and manage disbursements.
- Draft and file deed and coop share transfers.
- Create and draft LLC documents and filings.
- Track key deadlines and ensure all deliverables are met on schedule.
- Manage file organization, digital records in Clio, and post-closing follow-ups.
- Assist attorneys in maintaining seamless workflows and communications with clients and brokers across active matters.
- Review commercial lease due diligence and draft lease abstracts.
- Draft and file new development offering plans.
- Review and facilitate borrower financing for commercial loans.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a real estate paralegal in a NYC law firm.
- Strong knowledge of New York City, HDFC, coop, condo, and townhouse transactions.
- Familiarity with title, lender, and management company processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and handle a high-volume of emails and tasks within each matter.
- Familiar with using an Apple MAC computer system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Clio, Teams, Outlook and digital document management.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple files independently and without compromise in quality.
- Must be a team player.
- Must have NYS Notary License.

This is a full-time - in person role. The ideal candidate would support 3 attorneys on closings, handle due diligence for purchase/sale deals, conduct offering plan and DOB reviews, review loan documents and closings and review for post-closing "quality control" and meet critical deadlines.
